I love seeing people enjoying their home and decorating it with their own awesome style. So, today I wanted to share with you a magical little garden I got a tip to go see. The backyard is not completely finished yet, but I wanted to share the magic it already has. This is the backyard of the lovely Gisella.
She bought an fixer upper and is turning it into her own beautiful space. The awesome thing is that it’s located in the middle of our downtown. So a little magic in the between all the houses.
She did a mosaic workshop and has been saving broken teacups and tiles and practicing to keep perfecting her art. She’s got a water cistern or also known as a water reservoir and instead of letting it like a big concrete piece in the middle of her backyard, she made it a beautiful part of the backyard. She let the contractor break a bit off and created a sitting area there. She’s now planning to put some shades so she could enjoy it even more.
Even the concrete floor got a little creative love with tiles and sea corals. The backyard comes more alive with all the plants around. Having plants in your surrounding is a good thing to make you feel happy. All the green is a part of the decorating and gives lots of pop of colors.
Can you imagine this little backyard at night with cute lights hanging around for the cozy feeling, with a glass of wine in your hand? I’m totally feeling that vibe. If you have the art of mosaic down, I suggest you to make some magical with it in your home and surrounding. Thank you Gisella for letting me enjoy your backyard and feeling inspired.

I love the tiling it brings its own bright qualities to the outdoor space. I have known a few people lately buying fixer upper homes and it has been really interesting seeing my friend turn these Old homes into their own unique spaces.
