It was lots of planning and yelling and laughing, but I can finally say that an idea that I have been walking around with for a few years is going to be realized tomorrow afternoon. Yes, the very first pop-up shop with the focus on furniture and home decor that are designed and made by own local designers her on the island of Curacao.
I’ve teamed up with the foundation ritmodikurason and PITOPOLO. We had to change location a few times and we finally found a great cozy little space to bring this pop-up shop to you all. The pop-up is going to be in the atelier of Ashley Mauricia. We cleared out the space completely so I can decorate the space completely with the furniture and decor.
We are just putting on the finishing touches today so tomorrow everything will be finished for the opening at 17.00 pm (local time).
Let me give you an introduction of all the designers that are going to have their items in display in the pop up shop.

So, there you have it. All creative people with great craftsmanship skills. We also designed a pillow and blanket collection with two amazing women, Nathaly Martina from Crafty Teacups and Michelau Isidora-Allee.
This event is a great way to support our local designers. This is a great way for you to see what our island has to offer in the furniture & home decor field. The pop-up shop will be open from May 31st till June 3rd and then again from June 7th – 10th. The hours on Thursdays will be 5-9pm, on Fridays 4-8pm and on Saturdays & Sundays we’ll be open from 12-6pm.

Hope to see you tomorrow 🙂
