It has been a hectic couple of weeks and still more to do to finish up before the weekend starts. It’s amazing to see projects coming to their end and preparing for new ones. But another awesome project is on it’s way next week. Okay, so it’s not a per say a project of mine, but I’m surely part of it. People, I’m talking about the Amara Interior Blog Awards. Can you believe it’s next week already?!
Do you remember my happy head shake when I got the news that I’m in the top 5 of the Best International Interior Blog? That was an early morning good news vibe shake. The moment you wake up and get a notification from Instagramthat another blogger (also shortlisted) sent you a message congratulating you. I mean, c’mon people?!
The only thing to do is to be very excited and share it with the world. Even with the ones who don’t know what you’re talking about. So, the journey to the Amara Awards will begin next week on Monday. This time next week I’ll be with a pocket full of business cards of the another awesome bloggers attending this beautiful event.
This is one beautiful crafted invitation for all of us who are attending. I’m also excited to see London again. It has been more than 10 years that I’ve been there, so pretty excited to stroll down this beautiful city and explore all the interior design shops they have there. It’s going to be a very inspiring trip.
One thing I needed for this trip, was a sponsor. Of course I approached the biggest companies first, but still to this day haven’t received an answer. Pretty annoying much! I’m glad some of them were very positive and give me words of encouragement, even though they couldn’t sponsor me. After two weeks I wasn’t getting nowhere and was getting a bit depressed by the situation. I mean, this was an event to attend, not only for me as an recognition for my blog and work but also exposure for Curacao. I mean, a lot of people don’t really know where this little rock is sitting in the Caribbean. So, I’ll be pretty happy to share that with them when I arrive. So, yes I’m pleased to say that I found another small business to sponsor me. It’s awesome to see the little men helping the little men.
I want to thank Ricardo Instalashon Duradero B.V. for being the official sponsor of this trip. RID BV specializes in electrical and solar installations for homes and businesses. So, if you are in need for some good professional work, don’t hesitate to send them a mail for more information.
Next week, we all will find out who’s going to be the lucky winners of all the categorizes. But I already feel like a winner being in the top 5. If I win, that’s pretty much aaammmaaziinnnggg and so many more doors will open for collaborations. Pretty sweet!
I’m heading of to a client. Wishing you all a very lovely weekend and have fun. See you next week for the end result and remember to follow me on Instagramto see snips and snaps of the trip on the instastories.
