Store Tour : Louis the 15th. Antiques & Curiosities

Last week I was in Aruba for a few days to meet up with some friends and to visit the winner of the giveaway I had a few months ago on facebook. I’m not big on driving alone in other countries, but this time I had no choice. So, the best thing was of course to get know the neighborhood of where my hotel was a bit better. Riding along I saw a little sign with ‘Antiques’ and with an arrow showing to turn right. I really love vintage, secondhand items, so I went to see what the shop was all about. This is a store in two buildings and sharing a courtyard, making it a pretty big antiques little heaven. Let’s take a look at Louis the 15th. Antiques & Curiosities.
I was greeted by the lovely Nancy. She runs the store together with her husband. The store is like a museum which you want to have an unique treasure hunt in. The pieces are so unique and lovely that I didn’t know where to turn. All the items are searched and hand picked out of countries in Europe. That makes it even more interesting to have something from here in your interior.
One of the first thing my eyes fell on were the beautiful rugs on the floor through out the store.  These rugs are hand made in Turkey. It was really wonderful to get a little story behind the rugs from Nancy. As she said ‘You’re never to old to learn something new’.

The great thing about something ‘old’ is that you have something with history in your interior. Maybe you are the type to have everything new, but adding a little vintage or antique in the modern interior will bring something extra to the mix. That piece will be a story telling piece in your interior. If it’s pretty or not, it will grab the attention of your guests.

So, the next time you are in Aruba, don’t hesitate to go to Louis 15tn. You’ll have a lovely store owner that will tell you a story about her store and the great thing is that they do ship to where you live. So for all my Caribbean people, who are closer, drop by and say hi. Nancy will love the visit.
Louis 15th is located at:
Tanki Leendert 158-G Rococo Plaza Road 4A Aruba, Dutch Caribbean.

Wishing you all a great weekend and I’ll see you all back here next week. Taddaaaa 🙂

  1. I love this place! That is really cool you had friends go so you all could enjoy the experience together. I would probably have to be drug from that store, i love finding places like that.

  2. I enjoyed this experience all by myself and it was pretty awesome Leslie. Sometimes things like this it's better to be by yourself.
