PROJECT 101 : KIDS SUITE DESIGN

jenpen.studio - August 19, 2016 - 0 comments

I love this part of sharing with you guys projects of mine that I’m working on or have done. This one is a continuation of the one home I’ve shared  the master suite with you. Today I wanted to share with you the design of the daughter’s room.

I started with a mood board to help the client get a feel in which direction I wanted to go with the room. I didn’t want to apply a girly color like we all know, the pink. Rather a color that can grow with her. I picked yellow in combination with grey and white.

To make the room playful, I added wallpaper to the wall with colorful & playful pattern like the Orla Kiely style. It’s a playful design and it’s appropriate for every age. Like the other rooms, this one will also have wall paneling.

The color yellow will follow through in the bathroom as well. They wanted a simple design for the child, so the yellow color will brighten up the simpleness. I’m very exciting for when this project comes to the phase of the finishing touches. To see something you design come alive is such a satisfaction.
How you do like the design for this 8 year old girl? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
I’m heading out to meet a client, so I’m wishing you all a very lovely weekend and I’ll be seeing you back here next week. Have a good one 🙂
