Project 101 : Wedding shoot

I’ve loved taking photographs since I was a kid. Think I got my first camera when I was 13 (can’t remember for sure) and I was always taking pictures. Those days I was ruling a film camera. I bought lots and lots of film roles and spent lots of money developing them. Eventually I bought a digital camera and that with the help of this person: PITOPOLO. I got the chance to co-organize two photo exhibition with him. We were planning to do another this year…uhmmm..still just an idea. He also shot my wedding.
Last year he got married and asked me to be part of his team of photographers for that day. It was a pleasure to do so, cause I didn’t have to be shooting the whole day. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very beautiful wedding, but shooting weddings is freaking exhausting. So, being a partial photographer was awesome. I took the part of the preparations of the bride and of the ceremony. At the ceremony I was joined with another photographer.
Of all the weddings I shot, this one was one with one over the top happy bride, but in a very sweet and funny way. She kept laughing and laughing and that made shooting her even more relaxed for me.

You might ask what the heck she’s holding on. Well, as both are in the creative circle on the island, PITOPOLO proposed with this foil made ring. It’s huge. The funny thing is she took it down the aisle and trade it in with her new wedding ring. So, this symbolic ring will be kept in the family.
5 months already passed for this happy couple in the marriage boat. I’ve also decided that I’m not going to shoot any more weddings. Every time I get an chance to do something creative in my field, I change my direction a bit and I’m pretty much hitting a different direction. So, I’m letting my fellow photographers specialized in weddings do the great work.

  2. Thank you. Yes, they were very beautiful those flowers.

  3. On wedding day, I had a complimentary attendant, who was helpful in getting my husband and myself champagne, and she also made sure that we were eating. I gave my heartfelt appreciation to the staff at New York wedding venues for their tremendous effort in making our day the most special day of our lives.

  4. This florist was unbelievable! I made a same day order on valentine's day and got a very reasonable deal. The NYC Flower Delivery was gorgeous and the customer service was beyond accommodating which was absolutely lovely.
